San Francisco's Fashion Designer: Joseph Domingo

His designs are sensuous and sexy and yet classy......We are talking about San Francisco's own fashion designer, Joseph Domingo. The acclaimed designer has been creating beautiful pieces for his muses and men for years and takes pride in designing clothes that incorporate classic design elements and emphasize construction and the aesthetic of symmetry.

Joseph Domingo, began as an architect but was drawn to the fashion world and has been clothing San Francisco's elite men and women out of his San Francisco studio. Joseph's range includes custom made fashion alternatives that are impeccable and fit to perfection including sports wear, swim wear, and evening wear.

Domingo debuted his own amazing fashion line, after years of intense work, during the 2006 Mercedes Fashion Week held at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles. Three years later, his increasing mastery and innovative fashion designs shine ever brighter in the fashion community. His designs now also feature at the Vancouver Fashion Week. Domingo continues to rise as a major designer in the fashion world.

His work has been featured in fashion magazines nationwide: LA Direct, Cosmopolitan, and Nirvana, among others. And his designs have been worn by celebrities including Jenifer Esposito, Shakira and Rebecca Romijn.

On May 31, he celebrated his 10 year anniversary with a retrospective fashion show. The celebration took place at The Supper Club in San Francisco. It was an evening filled with a mix of fashion and art. He presented his retrospective art of ten years in the industry. The hour long show was preceded by cocktails and followed by a delicious dinner for VIPs.

Models after the show

Domingo's models were styled to perfection with extravagant jewelery by Vancouver jewelry designer Morgan Mallet for Design and Conquer. The show was organized into flights, grouping ten years of Domingo designs by color. This showed, to great effect, the different textures, designs, and fabrics that are his signature.

The fashionable crew that stayed for the after party enjoyed a spectacular multi-course meal. Wine was provided courtesy of Wente. The music and dancing were fabulous and everyone had a great time.

We hope that this is the first of many local shows for our beloved designer. It's ironic that Joseph Domingo has been better known in other cities and we hope to see a lot more of his events here. More information is available on his website (www.josephdomingo.com).
